As the world commemorates Holocaust Remembrance Day (actually May 5–6, 2024), it is nearly impossible to not think about what is happening today in Gaza.

Supporters of Israel and its leader say that what Hamas did on October 7th, 2023 was evil and the group deserves to be wiped off the map. They have a valid point, Hamas (please go to their webpage, linked twice here already, if you think it is not evil. Look at what they brag about) is evil. If it had its way, all governments of the world would be charged to Islamic theocracies. Israel has a right to protect itself, supporters say.

Israel is in an impossible situation, supporters say. Hamas hides behind hospitals, civilians, women, children, the elderly, etc. If the terrorists release the hostages all this can end.

Supporters of Palestinians point out that not all Palestinians are Hamas nor do they all support it. The (what word is big enough to describe this?) ginormous humanitarian crisis including massive famine killing Palestinians right now is also evil.
