Wil Wheaton is amazing
This exchange with Wil Wheaton made my day. Don’t judge me.

Wil Wheaton is one of my heroes. If I should ever finish a book and get it published, I will dedicate it to Wheaton and Stephen King. Is it because Wheaton appeared in the iconic Stand by Me, based on the King book? Is it because he was Will Crusher? Is it because he played himself on The Big Bang Theory?

I was reading about writer’s block, while experiencing it, and read some advice Wheaton left. The post I read suggested writers just open an app and start writing. According to the post, the blank page can be very intimidating. This may be all my imagination as I read that years ago BUT when I have an issue writing, I think of that advice and get back to writing. It is the most helpful advice I have ever been given.

FWIW: I experience this every time I approach a writing/editing project:

  1. I see an opportunity and think I could do that! So I reach out and pitch myself as the person for the job. I am really good at this part.
  2. I am contracted for the project and get to work.
  3. <<Brain meltdown commences.>> God, I can’t do this! Why did I think I could do this? They are going to look at my work and see me for the fraud that I am! F Me!
