Qanon makes no sense
From the Financial Times

No, I don’t care for Donald Trump but I am not going to lie. I find all things Qanon to be fascinating. I think Michael Flynn’s recent statements strange but strangely, like a car wreck on the road, I cannot look away.

Before Flynn fell in with Qanon and Trumpworld, he had a long and respectable career. He served in the military for years — and gets a pension of more than $100,000 every year. He served as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) under President Obama. During that time he also served as the commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and chair of the Military Intelligence Board. After two years as the DNI, his behavior had become erratic and in 2014, his term was not extended.

Maybe that pushed him over the edge. By 2016, Flynn was all-in for Trump. He spouted conspiracy theories and would go on to embrace Qanon. He led rallies with chants of, “Lock her up!” Last weekend at a Qanon rally, “For God & Country Patriot Roundup,” he was asked:

“I want to know why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here,” Qanon supporter.

“No reason. I mean, it should happen here. No reason,” Flynn responded.

So, the man who served the nation for decades wants the military to take control…
