If You’re Voting for Jill Stein or RFK, Jr, Don’t Look Now but Your Privilege Is Showing
If you think returning Trump to the White House is ok, you are too far removed from people who are struggling
Nothing tells me a person is too well off to understand the real impact of former President Donald Trump’s policies than supporting Jill Stein. I am thinking of the mostly white people who make very good livings and only see what the Democrats didn’t accomplish. They don’t understand the day-to-day struggles that he made worse.
Trump ended food stamps for nearly 700,000 people
In December 2019, Trump’s Department of Agriculture changed the work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This new rule cut 688,000 people from the program.
Should 45 become 47, that number will look like nothing as Project 2025 looks to target SNAP and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program even more. Their new plan could lower or end nutrition assistance for millions of Americans. Rather than running these crucial programs through the Department of Agriculture, it would move them to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) purview.
