November Senate prediction: Dems pick up 3
Biden racks up legislative victories and is staging a comeback
Let’s start with the Senate.
As unlikely as it may seem, Democrats could pick up more seats than that. This is a strange election cycle. Historically, the party in the White House always loses seats in Congress. Given President Joe Biden’s razor-thin majorities in the House and Senate. Part of this is the general makeup of the 2022 elections. Republicans are defending 21 seats and the Democrats need to defend 14. Most of those seats will stay where they are.
More hope for the Democrats in November (for the Senate) comes from the GOP candidates themselves. Let’s take a look…

JD Vance v. Congressman Tim Ryan (R-OH). JD Vance, if you are unfamiliar, wrote the book, Hillbilly Elegy, which was turned into a movie starring Glen Close. The book chronicles Vance’s life in Ohio and Kentucky and the lives of his various family members and their trials and tribulations.
Truth be told after I read the book and saw the movie, and if I knew nothing else about Vance, I could be ok with him in the Senate. Granted, I want a Democrat because I want them to have control of the place but diversity is a diversity of experience, and the idea of a few more people who understand Appalachia might be good but, Vance has sucked up so hard to Donald Trump he probably needs oxygen himself (how do you breathe with your nose that far…
