Dear law enforcement, you know murder is illegal, right?

You don’t get to shoot someone in the face and then just go off to work

Many police departments across the nation operate under the slogan “to protect and serve” but given all the people they shoot, beat, or torture, one can be forgiven for wondering how apt that motto is. Out of all the bad law enforcement officers out there, Dion Middleton takes the cake. This week he shot 18-year-old Raymond Chaluisant in the face and then went on to work. Did he stop to see how the teen was doing? No, Middleton was caught by tracing his vehicle.

Per the Daily News:

According to police, Chaluisant was shooting a toy water gun from inside a car and Middleton allegedly shot him with his own weapon, firing more than once, sources said. It was unclear who Chaluisant had been aiming at, cops said.

Middleton works in training at the NYPD shooting range in Rodman’s Neck, and he allegedly went to work following the fatal shooting, sources said. Police tracked down Middleton through surveillance canvassing, following his vehicle. The corrections officer was arrested at work in Rodman’s Neck, earlier today, cops said.

I don’t care what Middleton thought he saw or experienced. Nothing gives him the right to just shoot into…
